Cubanissimo recently opened a new location on Vandenberg Space Force Base. We are looking for supervisors for both our Orcutt location and the new VSFB location.

Compensation - $18.00/hr base wage (DOE) plus team pooled tips. Resulting in a compensation of ~$22.00-$22.00/hr.

We offer both Part-Time and Full-Time opportunities for Assistant Managers. Opportunity for advancement available.

All candidates MUST have 6 months minimum supervising/shift lead experience. Fast casual restaurant, coffee shop, or retail environment preferred.

Team Lead Duties

· Assist in training new employees in all areas of the FOH

· Supervise FOH and the maintenance of the kitchen including cleanliness and sanitation standards

· Oversee that food & beverage safety is always followed

· Oversee the food consistency produced by the kitchen and beverages by FOH

· Supervise events, catering and food truck

· Act as quality control, ensuring customer satisfaction through training employees properly and adhering to company policy.

· Make sure employees perform a variety of tasks, from preparing the food & beverage, stocking supplies, serving, cleaning, equipment maintenance, etc.

· Key holder with opening and closing duties

· Ordering and Inventory Control

· Food rotation and expiration policies

· Develop ideas for events and food/beverage creation for the café

· Take ownership of the business to increase revenue, reduce costs, save time while providing consistent quality standards are met

Register/Barista/ Beverage Service

· Multi-task quickly and concisely under pressure in a fast paced environment while communicating clearly and professionally with guests, supervisors, kitchen and cafe personnel at all times

· Taking orders from guests for Food and Beverages including Beer & Wine while making sure to follow requested customer specifications

· Check patrons' identification in order to ensure that they meet minimum age requirements for consumption of alcoholic beverages, ensure that patrons’ possess a valid ID, and adhere to Cubanissimo’s ID checking policy for all alcoholic beverage service/sales

· Operate cash registers and credit card machines

· Accurately and efficiently enter, prepare, and distribute orders to guests

· Must often clean coffee machines, restaurant areas, restrooms, and preparation areas during a normal shift

· Maintain good customer relations and speedy delivery of all beverages as well as complete assigned tasks from management every day

Customer Experience

· Providing friendly, quality customer service to each Cubanissimo customer and maintaining a consistent brand image at all times

· Smiling often and learning our guests' names

· Ability to confidently inform guests of the daily specials and answer questions as needed from customers

· May field customer complaints or questions

· Must be a caring, conscientious individual who enjoys meeting and working with people and treats every customer as an individual

· Must display a customer comes first attitude and deliver excellent customer service

Food Preparation and Cooking as needed

· Prepare a variety of meats, poultry, vegetables and other food items in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment according to restaurants standardized recipes

· Following recipes accurately and maintaining food & beverage preparation processes such as cooking, marinating, seasoning, and grilling meats; chopping herbs; dicing, cutting, and slicing fruits & vegetables

· Preparing food throughout the day as needed, anticipating and reacting to customer volume

· Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures

· Stocks and maintains sufficient levels of food products at line stations to assure a smooth service period.

· Maintaining kitchen while preparing and cooking food

· Maintains proper food handling, safety, and clean/sanitized work station areas including tables, shelves, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range, refrigeration equipment, etc

· Handles, stores and rotates all products properly

· Assists in food prep assignments during off-peak periods as needed

· Inventory management and cost/waste control

· Promotes team work by assisting in cleaning areas of the kitchen, sweeping and mopping, cleaning the coolers, organizing dry storage, etc

Miscellaneous

· Consistently and accurately using prep sheets, cleanliness list, and station checklists

· Following Cubanissimo sanitation standards including washing cookware and utensils throughout the day

· Cleaning equipment, as assigned, thoroughly and in a timely fashion according to Cubanissimo sanitation guideline

· Must be customer service oriented

· Able to reach, stoop, bend, and lift, push or pull 50lbs

· Must be able to climb a ladder, and stand throughout the entire shift

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

· Must be able to communicate clearly and concisely

· Must be able to maintain a calm demeanor during periods of high volume

· Adhere to established company procedures, guidelines and policies at all times

· Maintain established company uniform, appearance, and hygiene standards at all times

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

· Ability to oversee and direct Team Members in a professional manner

· Ability to deliver excellent Customer Service in a quick serve coffee and food restaurant environment at all times

· Ability to work as part of a team

· Maintain safe and sanitary work conditions at all times as well as acquire a California food handlers card within 30 days from hire date

· Effective oral communication skills to communicate clearly with owners, supervisors, kitchen staff, dining room staff, and guests

· Reliable and punctual with a willingness to work a variety of shifts including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays

· Must show up on time, ready to work for each shift

· Reliable transportation

· Knowledge of Cubanissimo’s systems, procedures, and policies

· Ability to pass an employment drug screening and background check upon request
