Job description

We are looking for an experienced Front of House Manager to join the team. This is a possible "Flex" position. Candidate needs to be available to work at either of our concepts in Longboat Key OR Brandenton.

Responsibilities

  • Reports directly to the General Manager
  • Coordinating with vendors to ensure that all supplies needed for events are delivered on time
  • Make sure that the dining room and bar area is clean and well-maintained at all times
  • Ensure that all foodservice operations run smoothly
  • Placing liquor, beer, and wine orders weekly and staying within budget
  • Monthly inventory of all beer, liquor, wine, and retail, hitting companies set budget goals
  • Supervise daily cleaning and maintenance to ensure that the facility is well-kept at all times
  • Managing the daily operations of the business by overseeing all staff members to ensure they are following company policies and performing their job duties properly
  • Ensuring that all patrons are treated respectfully and accommodated efficiently according to their needs
  • Ensuring that all service staff are trained in proper customer service skills and techniques in order to deliver high quality service to patrons
  • Working closely with the chef or other kitchen staff to ensure that the food and beverage service meets the needs of customers
  • Maintaining inventory levels of liquor, linens, and retail items needed for daily operations
  • Developing schedules for each member of the waitstaff based on business volume and staff availability
  • Monitoring the condition of the facility to ensure that it is clean, safe, and comfortable for guests
  • Training new employees and monitoring their performance to ensure that they are performing up to standards
  • Managing the front desk and greeting customers to create a positive first impression of the business

Requirements and skills

  • Proven work experience as a House Manager or similar role
  • Being a good communicator, understanding the client’s likes and dislike
  • Extensive Bar Knowledge
  • Being knowledgeable on a wide range of areas related to the role
  • Being responsible, efficient, discreet, and organized
  • Relevant training and/or certifications as a House Manager
