Essential Functions

Duties include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Conduct yourself in a professional manner, displaying a positive attitude, speaking highly of the company in the presence of customers or other employees
• Follow established Personal Appearance Policy policies and guidelines
• Follow all company policies and procedures in regards to safety
• Tender customer transactions in a quick and efficient manner
• Promote any current charitable campaigns
• Understand and follow company guidelines in scanning every item
• Recognize and become familiar with the different types of produce
• Understand and follow company guidelines on B.O.B.(Bottom of the Bascart)
• Understand and follow company guidelines on tendering Electronic Funds

Transactions. (i.e. Credit/Debit, EBT, Gift Cards). Also tendering and processing

Cash Transactions, Check Transactions

• Understand and adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering vendor coupons
• Understand and adhere to guidelines on tendering coin star vouchers
• Understand and adhere to guidelines on accepting and tendering bottle slips
• Understand and adhere to guidelines pertaining to the use of the store coupon key and codes
• Understand and adhere to the company's limits on cash shortages
• Work honestly and effectively to control loss
• Understand and adhere to shrink guidelines as related to front end operations
• Strive to achieve company’s item per bag guidelines
• Check prices, which requires knowing the locations of all items
• Understand the operation of the cash register and follows all cash-handling policies to help prevent loss
• Understand and adhere to company guidelines and applicable law on restricted sale items (Alcohol, Tobacco, Fireworks, Videos, etc.)
• Maintain a clean and organized work station

The Cashier may be assigned to perform other tasks in addition to those discussed above.
