Front Desk Receptionist (Back-Up Recruiter)

We are looking for an energetic, Bilingual Receptionist to manage our front desk and perform a variety of clerical tasks. You will be the first point of contact for our company. Duties include staffing support to the team. You will welcome guests and greet people who visit the business. You will coordinate front-desk activities, including distributing correspondence and redirecting phone calls. To be successful as a Receptionist, you should have a pleasant personality, as this is also a customer service role. Multitasking is essential for this position. Your responsibilities are to ensure the front desk welcomes applicants positively and executes all clerical tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and welcome applicants as soon as they arrive at the office
  • Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls
  • Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and training material)
  • Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email
  • Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook)
  • Order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock
  • Support manager with minor payroll responsibilities
  • Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Back-up to Staffing Specialists by screening, scheduling applicants to job placements
  • Write Memos
  • Distribute checks to client sites
  • Other duties are necessary
  • Training will be provided

Skills

  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Hands-on experience with office equipment (e.g. fax machines and printers)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills (English & Spanish)
  • Ability to be resourceful and proactive when issues arise
  • Excellent organizational skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Great Customer service attitude
  • High school degree; additional certification in Office Management is a plus

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
