Job description

A well-established surgical group is looking for a friendly Front Desk Medical Receptionist. Previous experience in a private practice setting or surgical practice setting is a plus. Current openings in the Methodist Sugar Land professional building.

Candidate must possess strong communication skills and computer skills. Willingness to be cross-trained as a Surgery Scheduler is needed.

Previous knowledge of EMR system is preferred. Greenway PrimeSuite knowledge is a plus.

Excellent customer service skills are also a must. Candidate must be professional in appearance with the ability to multi-task.

Must have reliable transportation.

Bilingual (Spanish) fluency is preferred.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Pleasantly greet patients upon arrival and initiate the check-in process
  • Confirm upcoming patient appointments
  • Verify insurance
  • Ensure any necessary referrals or authorizations are present prior to a visit
  • Prepare charts for upcoming new patient appointments
  • Collects and Posts Copays
