ACCOUNTABILITY:

Taylor Shellfish Farms is one of the largest producers of farmed shellfish in North America. The company is quickly growing in sustainable shellfish farming with new techniques and innovative growing methods.

POSITION DESCRIPTION

The freight consolidation team is responsible for organizing, consolidating, and loading finished orders onto the selected form of transportation. The team is also responsible for creating a daily load sheet and communicating any changes and final disposition of orders to the shipping team chat. The consolidation team member needs to be able to read and/or create shipping documents to facilitate the daily loading of orders. They also need to work with other consolidation team members as well as plant management and crew leads to consolidate outgoing freight. This is a Monday through Friday shift with occasional weekend work.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Must complete safety orientation prior to working in the processing area
• Must be physically able to lift and handle up to 100 pounds.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write English.
• Must wear proper safety gear when necessary.
• Must work well with other crew members.
• Must be able to work independently with little supervision.
• Team member must be reliable and on time.
• Experience with Microsoft Office would be helpful, but not required.
• Must be able to obtain a forklift license. This training will be provided through Taylor Shellfish Farms.
• The team member needs to have a positive attitude and be willing to jump in as needed in areas not specifically assigned to the consolidation team.
