Job description
The Senior Fraud Operations Analyst conducts investigations regarding the control, detection and analysis of frauds to eliminate any eventual possibility of financial or image loss to the company or customers. Working under limited supervision, this job is responsible for identifying potential fraud cases against customer accounts and taking appropriate action.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Tracks and monitors illegal transactions on customers' financial accounts without the authorization of the account owner.

  • Analyzes account activity in order to assess levels of risk.

  • Reports any suspicious account movements and unusual transactions that may be risky to the organization and customers.

  • Interacts with external partners such as law enforcement agencies, vendors and banks to validate information to check fraudulent activities.

  • Recommends suspending a flagged account temporarily until the investigation is complete, verifying all transaction details and keep all information confidential until further notice.

  • Reduces the risk of fraud through detailed authentication on customer identity and incoming credit/debit authorizations for potential fraud.

  • Creates fraud files and communicates with customers to notify of inquiry or problem resolution.

  • Coaches and reviews the work of lower level professionals.
Educational Requirements
  • University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3+ Years Required; 5+ Years Preferred
FINRA Registrations
  • SRC Indicator: NRF
Physical Requirements

Career Level
7IC
Base Pay Range: $66,100/yr. - $110,100/yr.
Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
