Short & Sweet: Using dairy powder to mix into raw milk which will increase the levels of protein and solids to maximize cheese pounds in the vats daily. Also, supports Milk Receiving when foritifcation is not scheduled.

Schedule: 2nd Shift (2:30 PM - 1:00 AM)

Responsibilities:

• Provide an adequate supply of slurry to meet production needs. Enter data into MES computer system.
• Maintain accurate records of ingredient usage. React quickly and adjust/troubleshoot equipment to maintain product specifications.
• Meet requirements of Milk Receiving and Starter operations and assist those positions as needed.
• Maintain a sanitary work area according to GMP practices as well as handling and testing of chemicals.
• Communicate with fellow employees and supervisors in a clear and concise manner. Recognize and communicate potential deviant situations. Communicate clearly with the Quality Dept., Cheese Production operators and Leadership
• Perform all duties in a safe manner complying with all applicable safety policies. Perform LOTO as required.

Qualifications:

• Must be able to work other shifts when needed to fill in when needed.
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, draw valid conclusions
• Ability to determine the root cause to issues through investigation, collaboration and present solution
• Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office products
• Familiarity or ability to learn SAP, or similar integrated manufacturing systems
• Able to read, write and perform intermediate mathematical calculations
• Demonstrated ability to complete work assignments with high degree of accuracy
• Lifts 31 lbs. from floor to mid-chest (0" - 39") daily and climbs stairs hourly

Preferred:

• Experience with SAP or similar integrated manufacturing system
• Technical expertise, knowledge, and understanding of reverse osmosis systems
