$20/hour Line-Cook | Grist Brew Co. | Highlands Ranch
Our (stationary) food truck is a fast paced environment that requires basic food safety knowledge and familiarity with equipment (fryers, flat-top, etc.).
*This job entails everything from prep to the finished product.*
All BOH team members are expected to engage with guests when running food to tables, as this helps to maintain QA and excellent customer service.
You will be making pub style food (e.g., burgers, hot dogs, fried foods, etc.)
Expectations
- Punctuality and the ability to thrive under pressure are mandatory
- One hour prep before the venue opens
- Prep as needed throughout the shift
- Learn open and closing procedures and food assembling protocol
- Ability to work independently with solo shifts once training ends
- Keeping ticket times down (<15min~)
- Prep according to health and safety standards
- Basic customer service
- Rock the kitchen and consistently deliver GBC quality standards

Requirements
- Must be 18+
- Able to read/write English
- Lift up to at least 50lbs
- 6 months - 1 year experience preferred, but not required
If they are the first to arrive, the kitchen staff turns on the lights and grills, starts kitchen prep work and prepares the kitchen and customer areas for service. When they’re the last to leave, the kitchen staff puts food and dishes away, cleans and mops the floors and turns off all ovens, stoves, and other cooking equipment.
Dependability
As a food service employer, we are only as successful as the cooks and kitchen staff we employ; the kitchen staff is expected to be reliable, on time for work and consistent with the work they do.
Physical stamina
The kitchen staff work on their feet for the duration of their shifts, around scheduled breaks, climb up and down ladders and stairs and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances.
Customer service
Working in all areas of the kitchen and often the food delivery space, including bars; seating areas; buffet tables; and dining rooms, the kitchen staff will inevitably interact with customers; willingly listening to and assist customers with their requests - sometimes when they fall outside the kitchen staff’s normal duties.
Facility with kitchen equipment
The kitchen staff work with sharp and potentially dangerous equipment on a daily basis - whether the deli slicer, grill, or high-temperature dishwasher - they work safely and effectively with all kitchen equipment.
Team player
The kitchen staff takes direction from the kitchen supervisor and facility managers and is willing to assist other team members to get their jobs done.
