JOB SUMMARY: You will be responsible for the planning and preparation of meals and snacks; orders and inventories all kitchen items. Ensures the health and safety standards are met.

Will be responsible to . . .

• Plan and prepares snacks and meals within the posted menus and nutrition regulations.
• Determines meal and snack count and distributes food to each classroom
• Removes trays and leftovers from classrooms and disposes accordingly
• Performs bi-weekly food and supply inventory; submits list of needed items to Director
• Orders food from approved supplier, within budget set by Director. Checks in food deliveries to ensure accuracy of order placed
• Ensures that all state and local health department, licensing, safety and nutritional requirements are met; follow standards of personal hygiene, and safety
• Keeps kitchen, including appliances, shelves and all inventory organized and clean

Must obtain and maintain a Food Handler's Certification as required by state and/or local regulations.

Must have some kitchen and food prep experience.

HOURS - Monday - Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm (year round position)
