FOOD FACTORY ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
MONTANA CORRECTIONAL ENTERPRISES
DEER LODGE, MT
The purpose of this position is aid in managing the Food Factory program (Cook Chill and Bakery) to ensure that the program is financially sound while fulfilling the goal to provide quality and nutritious meals to several Montana institutions and contracted facilities. This position is responsible for aiding in the proper staffing of employees, procurement of raw materials and supplies to meet customer demands, and scheduling of food production and distribution. Additionally, this position assists the Director in supervising all staff and workers to meet strict state and Federal health and safety regulations and requirements. As with all MCE positions, the Assistant Food Factory Program Manager is to provide a strong training program to teach inmate workers in basic job skills and build work ethics and personal responsibility and accountability.
QUALIFICATIONS - Preferably a bachelor’s degree or higher in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management or Business Administration
Minimum requirement of completion of a 2-year job related college or vocational training
Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in food service management
Other combinations of education or experience may be substituted.
