General Duties:

  • Supports and manages the hotel outlets while working closely with the Restaurant Manager, other Assistant Managers, and other hotel departments.
  • Responsible for short and long term planning of outlet, including group accommodations and events, restaurant service, and supplies.
  • Managing work schedules, training, hiring, and coaching/counseling Associates.
  • Lead and coach the team towards achieving exceptional guest service and employee satisfaction results.
  • Full understanding of Associate engagement with ability to lead the team.
  • Ability to take the initiative to run the outlet as a free standing entity.
  • Requires flexibility of schedule, creativity, social and interpersonal skills, decision making ability, initiative and sense of urgency. These skills are required in order to address the daily items/issues which occur on a daily basis within the resort.
  • Experience in customer service; resort experience preferred.
  • Operate 10-key calculator by touch.
  • Previous supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills, preferred.
  • Knowledge of different types of food and beverage production.
  • Knowledge of different types of wine and spirits and their service.
  • Ordering experience preferred.

  • Excellent communication skills; basic level of computer knowledge; proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel; experience with Agilysys preferred.
  • Ability to effectively schedule employees.
  • Ability to inventory.
  • Detail oriented and self-motivated.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
  • Must have a high regard for personal appearance and hygiene. Maintain proper associate uniform standards and footwear which is slip resistant, enclosed toe and heel.

Required Certifications:

  • Minimum age requirement – 18+ (21+ if driving licensed Resort vehicles)
  • Food Handler’s Certificate
  • TABC Certificate
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet the requirements of driver insurability as established by the insurance carrier required, preferrred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, required.
  • College degree in a hospitality related industry, valued.
  • Must have two years of experience in the food and beverage industry.
  • Encourage OSHA Hazard Communication Standard training and certification.

  • Must have the physical strength, stamina and agility to perform the assigned duties.
  • The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Follow all company and safety and security policies and procedures.
  • Report work related accidents, or other injuries immediately upon occurrence to manager/supervisor.
  • Report maintenance needs, accidents, injuries and unsafe work conditions to manager.
  • Requires problem solving abilities.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and environmentally responsible work environment.
  • Must be able to interact with co-workers and have a sense of TEAM.
