Phoenix Metals is a world class metals distributor, located Tampa, FL. Phoenix Metals is currently seeking candidates for a full-time day route driver. Competitive pay will be based on miles/stops/weight, along with other incentive and quarterly bonus opportunities. Earning potential is between $75K and $95K. Drivers are expected to secure/strap/chain their load, and make multiple stops throughout the day, adhere to all safety rules and procedures in places, and conduct themselves in a courteous and professional manner to customers. All trailers are currently flatbed, with all but 2 having Fastrack Conestoga kits on them, and the last 2 scheduled to get the Conestoga kits in 2023. Routes vary daily throughout all of Florida and some South Georgia. Phoenix Metals is a safety-first driven company and have high safety standards. We utilize SmartDrive camera systems throughout our trucks and trailers, for coaching, teaching, and safety purposes. We provide full comprehensive paid training.
Must have a valid Class A CDL. 2 years CDL experience is preferred (but we are willing to train the right person) with a clean MVR and background and be able to get an updated Med Card. Flatbed experience is preferred.
While very minimal, there are some situations in which a layover for a night might be required.
