The Fiscal Technician position performs accounting functions for the agency and ensures compliance with federal, state and county policies and procedures.
The position is responsible for reviewing, posting and coding all invoices and billings received, as well as posting entries to proper ledgers. Maintaining accurate information and record keeping is indispensable.
The person will monitor cost analysis expenditures and budgetary information and records of services that run through the department.
The Fiscal Technician is responsible for preparing quarterly and year-end fiscal reports and will verify the accuracy and completeness of all financial documents for compliance.
Meeting with local and state agencies will be critical in order to implement changes, monitor and establish contracts with providers.
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full-time employment.
- Work hours are 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch.
- Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year as a Fiscal Assistant or three years of work involving the maintenance of fiscal or financial records, including one year of responsible work which involves the application of accounting or fiscal principles and practices; and graduation from high school; or
- One year of experience in maintaining and reviewing fiscal records and an associate degree in accounting or business administration; or
- Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
