Job Summary


Are you a detail-oriented person looking to grow in an award-winning organization? Maricopa Community Colleges' District Office is seeking an attentive and customer service focused Fiscal Technician!

The Fiscal Technician in the Controller’s office performs a variety of fiscal record-keeping transactions and data entry. This opportunity provides customer support to the Student Business Services offices at all 10 MCCCD colleges for their daily cash summaries. This role is also responsible for computing, verifying, and monitoring accounts, files, documents, and records, and is integral in providing support and assistance to students and staff.

Essential Functions


50% - Process campus cash summaries – log, review, and balance cash summaries, run reports, enter transactions, and email campuses.

15% - Process miscellaneous checks – log, scan, research, deposit, and email checks

15% - Process all MSRP voids and stop payments – maintain MSRP Void/Stop payment google doc, log all campus SBS requests, submit request to third party vendor, verify all requests were processed, follow up on any questions/concerns

10% - Handle blue bag distribution and sort US mail – responsible for distributing the weekly blue bags from District office to each campus and sorting through any US mail received

10% - Bank related items – handles all NSF check returns which includes communication with campus and various departments and also entering of accounting entries. Also handles the Petty cash logs received from each campus.

Minimum Qualifications


High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of related fiscal support experience.

There is no substitution or equivalency allowable for the High School Diploma or GED.

Desired Qualifications


A. Two (2) or more years of experience providing Customer Service

B. One (1) or more years of experience with PeopleSoft Student Information System (SIS) and PeopleSoft Financial Management System (FMS)

C. Experience in Higher Education setting

D. Experience with Fiscal Record keeping and file maintenance

E. Experience working with Microsoft Excel
