Position Summary:

The Fiscal Support Supervisor is responsible for performing a variety of fiscal related fiscal tasks that are standard or regular support duties within an assigned department or program. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws and agency/institution policy

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Plans and directs the activities of employees by establishing work schedules, assigning specific duties and providing clear and detail instructions
  • Monitors and reviews work on a daily basis to ensure adherence to instructions and procedures
  • Supervise all the activities of the part-time employees related to timesheets, payroll documents and performance
  • Assist in the maintaining of the fixed assets records in the Banner System
  • Supervise periodic physical inventories of the University's assets
  • Communicate with faculty and staff on asset additions, deletions and transfers
  • Assist in the maintaining of the low value-high risk asset records in the Team Dynamics System
  • Ensures accuracy of all data entered into the Banner and Team Dynamics Systems
  • Assist in the processing of assets through the State of Arkansas M&R System
  • Occasional travel to other campus locations is required
  • Position requires walking and standing for prolonged periods of time
  • Position requires pushing, lifting or carrying light to moderate objects (25lbs) and ability to pull, bend, kneel and reach overhead
  • Other duties assigned

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Knowledge of database accounting and management principles, applicable laws and regulations of assigned section, computers and software application programs, and customer service techniques

Ability to record fiscal data and manipulate data to generate complex reports and documents and conduct research and perform basic quantitative quality assurance reviews

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

This position is responsible for recording new equipment assets and the removal of assets identified as M & R surplus

Minimum Qualifications:

The formal education equivalent of a Bachelor’s Degree in general business, business administration, finance, or a related field

One (1) year of fiscal related experience

Other job related education and/or experience may be substituted for all or part of these basic requirements, except for certification or licensure requirements, upon approval of the qualifications review committee
