Position: Fire Protection Sales Specialist

Fire Protection Company seeking enthusiastic Sales Specialist.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Technical Knowledge. Must make continuously aware of current code information and technological advances in the industry. This includes the ability to exercise value-engineering concepts during the take-off phase. Provides technical assistance in negotiating contracts and change orders.
  • Assist in Bidding projects. Helps the Sales Executive and Estimators Take-off projects from the drawings using various systems. Ensures material and labor are priced according to accepted practices during the bid process. Ensures the scope of work is accurately interpreted. Reviews all estimate packages for accuracy / completeness and reviews estimate with Sales Executive. Must keep time commitments as required by the Sales Executive.
  • Tracking. Manages the bid calendar and all Sales Tracking tools and databases. Works with the Sales Executive to verify the current status of all projects on the calendar and within the database.
  • Customer Service. Communicates professionally with all contractors and vendors in regards to upcoming, current and past proposals. Has a positive attitude and “sells” the Company.
  • Communications. Oversees bid communication coming into the company for potential projects to bid. Works with Sales Executive and Division Leaders to prepare the bid calendar and keep track of all projects on the calendar. Clearly articulates concepts and directions, both orally and in writing.
  • Follows Company Policy. Adheres to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Team Player. Helps, supports and communicates with all Company employees and maintains a positive attitude.

Qualification:

  • Education and/or Experience. Minimum high school or GED
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret documents - including blue prints and specifications.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to a wide range of problems.
  • Must be experienced with and extensive knowledge of MS Office (Word and Excel).
  • Routine operations are primarily sedentary but may require standing for hours at a time reviewing documents. Occasional visits to job sites may require climbing ladders and stairs. Communication of ideas and direction may occur in meetings on and off site.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs.
