The Automatan sheet mounter operator is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining the equipment and auxiliary equipment related to the machine. The operator will also direct the activities of the crew with assigned tasks during down time and make-ready periods.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• General knowledge and understanding of printing, finishing, or bindery equipment.
• This position does not require sheet mounting equipment experience. We will train.
• Reads job tickets to determine setup specifications and instructions.
• Follows all standard operating procedures relevant to the job, position, and department.
• Performs routine quality adjustments during the production run and maintains production standards throughout the run.
• Maintains records of daily production via the data collection computer.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and safe work area.
• Performs make readies and routine quality checks.
• Follow all safety policies and regulations, report any potential hazards, near misses or accidents immediately.
• Perform routine maintenance on the equipment with the press team members as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned. May be required to operate other equipment within the Company.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Mechanical aptitude required.
• Must have a minimum of 5 years’ experience as a machine operator or display some level of machine operator’s knowledge with troubleshooting ability.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines under pressure
• Ability to work independently as well as with a crew/team
• May be required to work nights and weekends as needed for temporary needs
• Ability to lift to 40 pounds occasionally.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 to $25.00 per hour

This job operates in a production environment. This role routinely uses standard equipment such as Presses and forklifts. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to see, talk, and hear. The employee is frequently required to walk, read, write, and operate material handling equipment.
