FID Financing Operations is the global support organization for Client Financing, Bank Resource Management (BRM), and Structured Product Group repurchase agreement (repo) business activity.

Responsibilities:

  • A line representative executes Operations processes and/or supports process management and project efforts. This individual may be part of a team of specialists operating within a region and for a particular product.
  • Demonstrates a detailed knowledge of the processes, projects, systems, markets and instruments that influence their team.
  • Analyzes and exposes ambiguous or complex issues, identifies root causes and proposes future actions.
  • Ensures Compliance Courses and Policies are completed on a timely basis.
  • May be required to build and manage relationships on a day-to-day level with Business Unit partners, other Morgan Stanley infrastructure departments, and external contact points in Client organizations.
  • Perform day-to-day margining to ensure that margin calculation is in accordance with the policies set
  • Issuance of margin calls and monitor their status
  • Preparation of collateral movements
  • Management and customer reporting
  • Perform various control activities to ensure that the exposures are properly captured and monitored in the systems
  • Respond to inquiries from sales / sales assistants on collateral activities and resolve complex problems
  • Participate in global initiatives and projects to improve existing controls and streamline the margin calculation process

  • 0-3 years of relevant working experience; Bachelor's degree required
  • Good understanding of financial products, including equity/fixed income OTC derivative, FX products and basic knowledge of ISDA/CSA is a bonus.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office with a focus on Excel
