Summary

The Financial Controller is responsible for managing, supporting and overseeing the finance and accounting department operations of the company. This includes periodic financial reports, payroll processing, fleet management, financial analysis, forecasting. This position will maintain a system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results, and ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration

  • 5+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting/finance

  • 5+ years experience successfully managing a team of direct reports

  • Thorough knowledge of GAAP accounting principles and procedures

  • Excellent accounting software knowledge and skill; help us constantly improve!

  • Experience creating financial statements, reports and analyzing data

  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year close process

  • Strong training, coaching and leadership skills; this team wants to grow!

  • Experience creating, implementing and managing department process guidelines

  • Self-motivated, proactive, and highly transparent as a part of our Leadership Team

  • Impeccable analytical and organizational skills

  • Exceptional ability to delegate with keen and encouraging oversight, to properly allocate resources within the department and cross-functionally

  • Strong Excel skills to build and utilize spreadsheets and pivot tables for financial analysis

  • LEAN business principle exposure is a plus! We are always looking for ways to eliminate waste, useless variation and anything that overburdens our people or systems.
