Zions Bancorporation has an opening for a Financial Analyst to join the Bank Accounting and Reporting department.

We are looking for an independent thinker that can access the big picture and participate in team solutions to complex processes. The successful individual will be in an ideal position to learn the business of the Bank and interface with business units across the organization. They will assist in helping ensure that controls are in place and operating (for the regulatory reporting process but more importantly for the business units that provide information used in regulatory reporting). The successful candidate will develop an aptitude for understanding regulatory requirements. The candidate will have opportunities to develop a skill set of building reports in Hyperion and SQL logic They will have a passion for detail and accuracy in supporting the Banks regulatory reporting processes.

Essential Functions:
Assist with interpretation of regulatory requirements and development of data solutions

Assist with the maintenance of database systems used for regulatory reporting

Maintain validations on SQL databases for regulatory reporting

Assist the team with preparation of FFIEC 041 Call Report form

Develop Hyperion reports as needed for department activities and Bank analysis

Partners with multiple business units to develop solutions for data processes and requirements

Assure regulatory documentation is well-kept and followed

Support process improvement projects involving automation

Assist with external audit requests for Bank consolidated group

Provide support for regulatory agency audits

Participate in the development and execution of test plans to validate data accuracy from system conversions

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in accounting

5+ years of experience in financial accounting

Ability to work in a heavy deadline-oriented environment

Experience with Hyperion and SQL is preferred

Experience with banking regulatory report preparation is a plus

Experience with SharePoint is a plus

Good organization skills

Inherent ability to analyze

Strong Microsoft skills
