Position Summary:
The Financial Analyst is responsible for performing finance-related duties on a professional level and working closely with senior financial management. This position consists of various responsibilities in the following areas: performing financial analysis, management reporting, forecasting, asset management, reporting, and modeling. This position reports to the Director of Finance.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
The Financial Analyst is accountable for the following functions and responsibilities:
- Analyze financial and business operational data, prepare financial reports and projections, including departmental and service line financials
- Identify, maintain, and evaluate key performance indicators to drive business strategy
- Create and update financial models
- Collaborate with team leads on ad hoc analyses for business investment cases and GTM operations
- Assist with monthly/quarterly accounting close processes
- Other duties as required
Qualifications/Experience Required:
- Bachelor or Diploma degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Accounting or other related field of study
- 3+ years of experience in finance, corporate finance, or other related fields
- Experience building and maintaining financial models
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting and financial analysis
- Understanding of inter-company and foreign currency translations
- Desire to work in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
- Strong analytical skills, and logical thinking; ability to interpret and communicate numbers to executives
- Strong software and system skills (e.g., Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Google Suite, QuickBooks, etc.)
- Proactive, self-starter with a passion for problem-solving
- Organized, and high attention to detail
- Proficiency in written and verbal English language to succeed in a remote work environment
- Flexibility to adjust to work routines/schedules, as required, to meet the needs of the company and expectations of customers
- Experience working in a technology startup
- Experience working with multi-location, international engineering operations
- Familiarity with data analytics or database management
