Basic Functions:
The Service Engineer is responsible for ensuring maximum productivity by keeping the customer’s equipment in optimum working condition. The Service Engineer will also provide technical support and troubleshooting for customers and company personnel.

Responsibilities and Authorities:
  • Follows up on urgent calls to ensure the problem has been handled.
  • Reports daily the status of current assignments.
  • Troubleshoot equipment problems in a timely, accurate, and professional manner.
  • Provide preventative maintenance recommendations.
  • Extensive travel is required many times on short notice.
  • Maintain Vendor required certifications and training as required.
  • Performs repairs, retrofits, and preventative maintenance professionally.
  • Submits accurate expense and service reports promptly.
  • Performs other related work and special projects
  • Proactively tries to sell spare parts, services, training, and engineering services to all customers
  • Works overtime when requested according to company policy.
  • Obeys company policies and procedures and observes all safety regulations.
  • Authority to add/insert redlines to any Job drawing package during build/programming.
  • Design authority.
  • Authority to recommend changes that will affect more than one job or process according to the ECO/ECR instruction.
  • Authority to approve Job changes/drawing packages internally.
  • Authority to request purchased materials/job additions/changes by PCO instruction, referencing spending policy.
  • Authority to evaluate the safety and functionality/risk/compliance associated with Job. (ISO 10218-2).
  • Authority to purchase on behalf of the company, according to to spend policy.
  • Authority to work out of sequence.
  • Authority to inspect for fitness of use.
  • Authority to complete assigned repair/installation work on site.

Mental and Physical Capabilities:
  • Basic troubleshooting skills.
  • Microsoft Office.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Team player.
  • Ability to travel - 70%
  • Ability to drive fork truck.

Requirements:
  • A two-year degree and Two years of extensive diagnostics experience - debugging, and troubleshooting integrated components and systems specifically in the areas of computer-controlled electro-mechanical and electronic equipment are required.
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22C.F.R. §120.15 are required. “US Person” includes US citizens, lawful permanent residents, refugees, and asylees.
  • License exception Technology and software under restriction (TSR) defined in 15 CFR 740.6 may permit a person from Country Group B.
