WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
As a member of the North America College Sports Marketing team, the Team Sports Field Rep will be responsible for directly servicing a portfolio of key NCAA Division 1 college partnerships and collegiate sports programs! You will provide field rep service and lead and maintain relationships with equipment managers, coaches, athletes, and athletic department staff across the college sports marketing partnership portfolio.


WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON
In your Field Rep role, we directly manage NIKE’s outfitting of the best college teams in the world! You'll service the top collegiate football, basketball and Olympic sports programs by ensuring that product, service and contract fulfillment are met. You’ll use footwear, apparel and equipment expertise to educate partners and to ensure execution, lead operational/process components and understand total resource allocation across the college sports marketing partnership portfolio. You will help us develop deep, influential relationships with equipment managers, coaches and athletic department staff. You will implement athlete and partner service strategies at key events including the NCAA Basketball Tournament, College Football Playoff, Men’s and Women’s World Series, Women’s Volleyball Final Four, and more.


RESPONSIBILITIES IN THE ROLE INCLUDE:
  • Primary contact for equipment managers, secondary contact for coaches, athletic department staff, etc. for 12-15 college partners
  • Product guide and conduit across multiple product categories and functions, including cleated, training, running, and basketball footwear, uniforms, apparel, gloves, equipment, and accessories
  • Collaborate with NIKE and licensee product teams from brief through final design review
  • Conduct product presentations both in-person and by Zoom
  • Manage uniform creation and redesign or chassis cadence across Promo, Hybrid and TEAM Builder resources
  • Represent your programs at uniform pre-creation meetings, apparel, glove and footwear planning and work closely with SMU footwear and glove product teams on SMU and NRG programs
  • Lead postseason product executions for CFP, Final Four, Media Day executions, and special product activations
  • Manage product samples, product size-sets and sell-in for new product innovation

Work with NIKE licensees to service niche sports or products - JR286 (gloves, accessories, equipment), APS (volleyball, wrestling, rowing, fencing), Paramount (headwear), Fanatics/BCS (apparel), and S.P. (hockey)

  • Facilitate product testing and athlete feedback
  • Lead artwork, logo approvals, and head coach sign-off
  • TEAM product expert for non-promo schools or promo product supplements
  • Communicate regularly with partners on seasonal initiatives, issues, special requests, etc.
  • Strong knowledge base of seasonal apparel buys and Gameday order windows.
  • Develop strong working relationships with coaches, players, equipment managers, trainers, team management and administration


WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH
You'll report to the Director of Team Sports, Field Reps, to implement the college field rep service strategy. You will also work closely with the entire College Sports Marketing team, including the Sr. Director and Directors of Football and Basketball. In addition, you will be the primary liaison between NIKE’s internal and licensee product teams and our external college partners.


WHAT YOU BRING
  • Bachelor Degree or higher in Business, Marketing, or a related field, or a combination of relevant education, experience and training
  • 5+ years combined experience with increasing responsibility in the following areas: Sports Marketing, Sports Administration, Marketing, Advertising, Retail Sales and/or Product Management
  • Strong and positive people/relationships skills
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Strong communication skills including meeting facilitation and presentations
  • Appreciation of the complexity of working with sports programs and the commercial environment
  • Ability to direct the resolution of partner issues or complaints
  • Strong passion for college and team sports
  • Strong understanding of the college sports landscape and complexities of working within it
  • Ability to travel at least 30% of the time
  • Willingness to relocate to the east coast, southeast or another strategic business location if necessary to fulfill the college sports marketing service strategy
