Job description

We are a transit research data collection firm seeking Field Interviewers for a 8-month project March 20th-December 15th for San Diego MTS and SANDAG. This is an entry level customer service position. You will be hired to conduct surveys with riders on a tablet and plotting start and end locations on Google Maps for market research to improve transit in the San Diego region.

Schedule is Monday-Thursday with Friday/Saturday/Sunday OFF. Shifts are 1:30pm-9:30pm approx. Shift times may vary slightly depending on bus schedule. You will be riding ON BOARD various MTS bus lines and Orange/Green/Blue lines for 7-8 hours per shift, conducting a 3-4 minute survey with riders on a tablet. Must be fairly good with technology.

Report Locations:

Santa Fe Depot and Old Town Station

A car will be necessary to get to rail stations early in the morning since we start before the bus and trains start running. Parking at stations is available.

Shifts: 1:30pm-9:30pm

Hours: 28-32 hours per week

Pay rate: $20.00 per hour paid weekly

Requirements:

· Must be prompt as timeliness is important

· Must be able to communicate with strangers (Bus Passengers)

· Must possess knowledge of smartphones and/or tablet programs

· Must possess knowledge of Google maps

· Must be able to stand on your feet on board a moving bus for up to 7 - 8 hours

· Must be comfortable asking personal travel and demographic questions
