Intermediate position supporting technical editing with some assistance and guidance to provide quality work products for a government client compiling with Oracle methodologies, practices and contract requirements. Performs standard technical editing duties and tasks with some variation to implement Oracle products and technology to meet customer specifications. Standard assignments are accomplished without assistance by exercising independent judgment, within defined policies and processes, to deliver functional and technical solutions on moderately complex customer engagements. 2-5 years of overall experience in relevant functional or technical roles. Undergraduate degree or equivalent experience. Product or technical expertise relevant to practice focus. Ability to communicate effectively and build rapport with team members and clients. Ability to travel as needed.

As a Federal Documentation Quality Consultant, you will plan and direct the work of project teams and cross-functional support teams, acting as the main point of contact for internal teams and project stakeholders. You will review and approve project team work to ensure adherence to scope, quality and productivity expectations and implement additional processes or reviews as needed to address systemic or recurring issues. You will conduct risk analysis for identified and anticipated project risks and lead risk avoidance or mitigation strategies to minimize project impact. You will lead internal project meetings to provide updates to stakeholders on progress against critical paths and milestones, key operational and financial measures, and risk assessments. You will engage and manage third party resources as needed to support project objectives. You will review, edit, and prepare client deliverables and other project documentation in accordance with internal best practices ensuring clarity, consistency, organization, and effectiveness. You will audit documentation for adherence to Section 508 standards and Web Content Accessibility (WCAG) using applicable software as well as manually to identify and correct compliance issues. You will provide clear, detailed, and actionable recommendations and feedback to authors to improve content writing skills. You will track documentation development, updates, client reviews, and formal submission for assigned projects and compile status reports as requested. You will participate in client meetings and identify required changes to documentation. You will contribute to team knowledge base and document repository within Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.

Basic Qualifications

  • At least 6 years of total combined related work experience and completed higher education, including:
    • At least 1 year of compliance, regulatory affairs and/or quality management work experience
    • At least 5 years of additional work experience directly related to the duties of the job and/or completed higher education
  • Receipt of the appropriate government security clearance card applicable for your position
  • Due to the client contract, you will be assigned, this position requires you to be a U.S. citizen
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in English, Instructional Design, or Technical Communication
  • 508 compatibility
