SUMMARY:

Employee shall provide labor necessary to operate and maintain two (2) each vehicle wash facilities:
a) Central Vehicle Wash Facility (CVWF), on Lyman Road, Schofield Barracks (primary)
b) Kahuku Training Area (KTA) Vehicle Wash Facility


RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Receive directions and guidance and respond to the Project Manager.
  • Serve as a Crew Member of the three-person Crew.
  • Ensure that all Facilities are operational, capable of supporting Army units requiring vehicle cleaning prior to entering the cantonment area during normal operating hours as well as selected hours as requested by user units.
  • Maintain all equipment in working order and identify all problems requiring repair.
  • Perform minor repairs and refer major repairs to DPW.
  • Conduct annual and semi-annual inspections to identify and correct deficiencies.
  • Conduct daily, weekly and monthly inspections to ensure that systems are in working order.
  • Serve as integral part of the four-person Crew to operate and manage three Wash Facilities.
  • Responsible for individual and user safety, health and welfare and scheduled operations of the Facilities without system failures.
  • Assist in coordination for all scheduling.
  • Be prepared to and operate the KTA or East Range Facilities.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs.
  • Other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Complete AT Level I awareness training within 7 calendar days after start date.
  • Must have reliable transportation. If driving on Military installation, must have valid driver's license and current vehicle registration.
  • May be subject to security background check.
  • Must be able to gain base access.


WORKING CONDITIONS:

  • Possible travel between Kahuku and Schofield, as needed.
  • Must be physically and mentally able to perform duties for extended periods in an outdoor environment.
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed to meet the demands of this position.
