We are Clarke, a privately-held public health, global environmental products and services company.

We have an amazing opportunity for a Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator to join our manufacturing TEAM in the Roselle/Schaumburg area. This person will oversee the maintenance and repairs to our facilities and manufacturing equipment to ensure a safe environment that promotes optimal production at all of Clarke's 4 Illinois facilities. This role will be responsible for a variety of activities and no two days will ever be the same!

What your new job will entail:

  • Facilities
    • Management of outside contractors/vendors including obtaining proposals, scheduling activities, approving invoices, and follow-up.
    • Support off-hours work so as to not disrupt normal operations and for emergency purposes.
    • Maintaining the functioning of all building systems including mechanical, HVAC, electrical, plumbing and security.
    • Performing periodic "walk abouts" of all facilities to proactively identify and address needed repairs and improvements.
    • Coordinate activities for capital improvements and initiatives.
    • Purchasing for facilities requirements (e.g., janitorial supplies).
  • Maintenance
    • Performing routine repairs of equipment, buildings, and grounds as appropriate.
    • Providing input into machine improvements, assistance to management in design, development, and implementation.
    • Performing operations relating to testing, inspecting, and adjusting equipment in the manufacturing department to improve manufacturing capabilities.
    • Compliance to ISO 9001 requirements, preventative maintenance schedule, safety regulations and maintaining clean and orderly work and common areas.
  • Customer Service, Safety and Administrative Duties
    • Managing contracts with service providers to ensure complete and adequate performance with regard to all services rendered. Participate in the selection and negotiation process.
    • Actively seek ways to improve the quality and efficiency of operations through ensuring an exceptional internal and external customer experience.
    • Participating in safety activities and meetings to support a culture of safety.
    • Administrative tasks as needed.

What you'll already have mastered...

  • A dedication to safety
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate and work well with all levels of an organization
  • Experience using basic computer software (e-mail, Excel, Teams, etc.)
  • Ability and willingness to travel between Clarke Facilities in Roselle, Schaumburg, and St. Charles, IL
  • At least two years of previous experience working in an industrial environment.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting equipment and/or building maintenance and repairs.
  • Willingness and physical dexterity to be able to perform operational and maintenance functions as needed.
  • Exceptional organizational and follow up skills.
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing and Facilities equipment preferred.
  • Knowledge of basic electric circuitry preferred.
  • Experience of welding or machining a plus.
  • Previous experience of Facilities maintenance a plus.
  • Ability to work weekends and overtime as needed.
  • The ability to multi-task and effectively partner with cross functional teams to meet performance objectives and to support the mission and vision of the Company.
