Description:

The Facilities Technician works closely with the Facilities Manager and is responsible to assist with any repairs and maintenance of all facilities. In addition, he/she is responsible for the stockroom and mailroom activities.

Key Accountabilities

  • Perform hands-on general maintenance, upkeep, and preservation of the Bank’s premises to ensure that employees and customers have a clean, accessible, safe, and pleasant environment in which to work and conduct business. This would include daily maintenance of grounds, trash removal, and other miscellaneous facilities projects.
  • Assist team with work orders, cleaning and organizing projects and project lists including lighting, ceiling tiles and painting at all Bank properties in Ri & CT.
  • Upkeep of outside grounds; assist with keeping walkways and steps free of ice, snow and debris.
  • Facilitate room set up and preparation for scheduled meetings in the Main Office.
  • Assist with set-up of new cubicles and office furniture; move furniture and equipment as directed.
  • Assist with the process of all incoming and outgoing mail, both USPS and 3rd party carriers.
  • Assist in handling storage and delivery of Teller Capture Check boxes.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of ongoing record retention needs (cleaning, storing, organizing); assist with yearend record retention purge.
  • Oversees all shipping and receiving activities in the storeroom, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments.
  • Adheres to all facility procedures and fully complies with the Bank’s information security policies and safety procedures.
  • Maintain current knowledge and consistent compliance with regulations, bank policies and procedures related to the position, including but not limited to Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and cybersecurity requirements
Requirements:

Qualifications

  • Required Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED; additional technical or trades training/education a plus.1-3 years’ experience in a facilities, mailroom, and/or maintenance environment with a strong customer service focus.
  • Valid Driver’s License.
  • Basic computer skills including the use of Microsoft Word and Outlook; ability to use maintenance ticketing/tracking system.
  • Ability to read and interpret written instructions and create short emails and other correspondence.
