Position Overview:
St. Margaret Mary Parish is looking for a hands-on Facilities Manager to join our team. We're looking for a Facilities Manager to help support our Mission and growing parish with a positive, joyful, others first attitude.

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the effective, efficient, and safe maintenance and upkeep of our buildings and beautiful grounds.

Additionally, the Facilities Manager must be able to do fundamental electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting and HVAC work, and possess basic computer skills. A maintenance staff member will support and report to the Facilities Manager.

Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance projects and tasks such as cleaning, basic repairs, snow removal and event set-up.
Manage contractors or volunteers that are performing certain maintenance tasks.
Coordinate bids and oversee contract jobs.
Manage major repair and construction projects.
Administer purchasing of fixed assets and plant services.
Supervise outside cleaning service for church and rectory.
Oversee security, risk management, and IT when it involves building or wiring.
Manage annual inspections for fire safety, elevator, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience with demonstrated supervisory, organizational, and time management skills.
Ability to diagnose and perform routine to mid-level repairs.
Proficient knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, drywall, painting and appliance repair with hands-on experience. Certifications are a plus.
Exposed to physical activity that requires standing/bending, lifting/carrying (light to heavy-weight equipment), climbing, and walking on rooftop.
Must be able to effectively communicate and collaborate with others.
Normal working hours are from 8am - 4pm, Monday through Friday. On-call availability for emergencies.
Must support the mission, philosophy, objectives and policies of the Catholic Church and the Diocese of Joliet, and be open to prayer & faith sharing in all aspects of work.
