Summary/Objective

The Facilities & Maintenance Support will help with the maintenance, inspection and repair of company buildings and equipment. This position supports preventative maintenance program to ensure the company maximizes the safety and productivity of equipment. Works closely and has exceptional communication with the Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator.


Essential Functions

  • Preforms preventative maintenance and repair for applicable company and facility material handling equipment.

  • Performs facility maintenance and repair, included but not limited to, heating and cooling, electrical, refrigeration, building security, landscaping, gates and fences, dock levelers, roll up doors, plumbing, fabrication and repair of steel structures and light construction.

  • Perform scheduled inspections on equipment to maximize the safety, productivity and life of each unit and routine facility inspections.

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose and perform repairs on equipment malfunctions or breakdowns.

  • Procure parts and services for repair with close attention to best available value and turnaround time.

  • Monitor and ensure facilities comply with OR-OSHA regulations. Partner with the Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator and Director of HR when issues arise.

  • Maintain exceptional communication with the Facilities and Maintenance Coordinator on any issues, repairs and maintenance, coordinated projects and planning.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and trainings.

  • Adhere to all requirements for vehicle cleanliness and safety, follow all traffic laws and company vehicle policies.

  • Observe company safety guidelines and practices in every phase of work. Report all hazardous conditions, safety concerns, injuries, incidents or property damage to your manager.

  • Regular and reliable attendance.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in a warehouse setting and does require travel to other company locations throughout the week. This position is occasionally exposed to fumes, airborne particles and moderate noise levels. This role routinely uses standard mechanical equipment, power tools, warehouse equipment and precision measuring equipment well as drive a company vehicle.


Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. The schedule has varying shift times and days based on the needs of the business. 40 plus hours weekly, with mandatory overtime as necessary. This is a non-exempt level position.


Travel

Occasional weekly travel to other company locations (Bend, Roseburg, Coos Bay and Newport).


Required Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED Required.
  • Two years mechanical experience.

Preferred Education and Experience

  • Technical degree or certification.
  • Valid Class A CDL or ability to obtain a CDL.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Employee must meet company standards for driving a company vehicle, pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check. Employee must pass a DOT physical and obtain a Medical Card.
