GENERAL SUMMARY

The Facilities Maintenance Generalist is responsible for building and grounds repair and maintenance for all locations of the company. Responsible to ensure projects are completed in a timely manner with adherence to the assigned budget. Maintains and operates company vehicles properly as well as well as following all compliance and safety laws and regulations. Responds to emergency calls as needed and is able to work outside of normal business hours if necessary. Completes courier runs in absence of Courier staff.

Starts at $15.75 per hour

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Regular touring and assessment of all branch buildings to verify and complete maintenance needs.
• Evaluation of landscaping and lawn irrigation needs / snow removal when necessary
• Building maintenance and repair – painting and minor repairs (lighting, electrical, signs, plumbing, etc.)
• Upkeep of SDS sheets for entire company
• Evaluate and contract necessary exterminators as needed for pest/rodent control at all locations.
• Communication with Branch staff to identify and correct problems as needed.
• Obtain quotes for outside vendors/companies and present to VP Facilities Manager for evaluation and discussion prior to contract approval to maintain annual budgets.
• Coordination with outside vendors/companies as needed to ensure major projects are handled and completed properly and in a timely manner within the budget (i.e. HVAC, elevator, escalator, landscaping, etc.)
• Ensure that routine maintenance of company vehicles is completed (fuel, oil changes, tire rotation, brakes, etc.)
• Other duties as assigned
• Be familiar with and comply with all federal and state banking regulations as applicable.
• Be familiar with and comply with the provisions of the Bank Secrecy Act and USA PATRIOT Act as they relate to the functions of this position. Complete all required reports related to those acts and reports any observed violations or potential violations of those acts to a supervisor or other appropriate bank officer.

EXPERIENCE and/or EDUCATION

• Prior experience with building and grounds maintenance required
• High School diploma

LICENSES & DESIGNATIONS

• Possess current, valid, Michigan Driver’s License, with zero points
