Certain Teed is currently in search for skilled individuals that would like to train and prepare to become Extruder Operators.

Salary: $19 Plus Shift premium

Shifts needed:

3rd Shift: Monday - Friday 11:30 pm- 7:00 am

*Shift premiums

Requirements:

• Solid mechanical ability & basic hand tool experience (Machine/Equipment Operators preferred)
• Must possess problem solving skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Experience in a production environment
• Must be able to read, write, and perform basic math.
• Must have basic computer skills
• Communicate effectively with supervisor and co-workers
• Ability to pass drug screen test

Minimum Qualifications:

• 18 year of age or older
• Ability to pass a drug screen
• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• High School Diploma

The trainee will learn in an on-the-job environment, as well as, documentation review and computer study. The trainee will work to understand and demonstrate all the responsibilities of an Extruder Operator 1.

This role will begin by performing general production duties and tasks.

Training will consist of:

• Performing start-up and set-up duties, ensuring lines are ready for production
• Performing color and product changes according to plant procedures
• Performing all quality tests per required frequency and adheres to the Buffalo plant quality standards, and entering data into MS Access Database.
• Performing adjustments to extrusion equipment and tooling to maintain quality specifications, clean and assemble tooling as needed, perform adjustments to line
• Setting up and monitoring of downstream equipment (where applicable): puller, saw, router, strapper, wrapper, capping machine, boxing area, vacuum lift, Sawzall guard
• Basic troubleshooting of equipment and process issues.
• Understanding all operations of downstream equipment (routers, saws, stackers etc.)
