- Directly interact & assist clients with the frame selection process, possess detailed knowledge of (frame) fitting standards.
- Interpret the client’s prescription(s) as written eye doctor
- Educate clients on proper frame fit, lens types, & how a client’s prescription will influence lens thickness.
- Educate clients on proper care of eyeglasses and contact lenses.
- Recommend proper lenses, coatings and frames to suit customer’s / patient’s needs.
- Accurately collect client’s eye measurements (i.e., pupillary distance, optical center, Seg. Height, including corneal width & thickness).
- Help clients select eyeglasses & lens treatments, including coatings & tints.
- Create optical orders for purposes of billing client & for lab technicians to ensure delivery of the proper lenses.
- Adjust eyeglasses to ensure a proper fit.
- Monitor & track optical (and contact lens) orders, prescriptions & inventory making sure orders meet expected delivery due date to client(s).
