Immediate opening for an experienced on-call only Caregiver for Right at Home, Central Oregon.

We are looking for an exceptional Caregiver with a passion for helping the elder community and people with disabilities. You possess the skills to work with a variety of clients and are ready to drive anywhere in Deschutes, Jefferson, or Crook counties to care for members of our most vulnerable population. Requirements:

• At least 5 years' experience as a paid professional caregiver
• High school graduate or G.E.D. certificate preferred
• Maximum client weight is at least 200 lbs
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English as needed for the job
• Possess a valid driver license, current automobile insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to transport clients using your vehicle
• Experience filling in a MAR and administering non-injectable medications
• Hoyer lift, gait belt, wheelchair, and slide board transfer experience
• Okay with clients who may smoke cigarettes and/or use medical marijuana
• Okay being around pets including cats, dogs and/or birds
• Ability to pass an extensive criminal background check including fingerprinting as required by the state of Oregon
• Willingness to wear a paper mask your entire shift
• Ability to prepare meals that may follow a variety of dietary restrictions (i.e. diabetic, renal, etc)
• Dementia and Parkinson's care experience
• Ability to assist with prescribed range of motion exercises
• Experience with bathing, showering, dressing, incontinence, oral care, and other hygiene care
• Ability to complete housekeeping tasks including vacuuming, mopping, laundry, changing bed linens, etc
