Brite Electric is seeking new talent to add to our team. We are growing in the Northern VA region and have upcoming opportunities in Fredericksburg and Mineral. Brite Electric is a medium-sized family-owned electrical contracting firm that works throughout the Mid-Atlantic region. Brite recruits quality professionals to contribute to our positive culture. We expect our team members to be productive, thorough, and reliable. We pursue commercial and industrial projects of various sizes and types within both the public sector and private sectors. We are looking for individuals who can travel within the Mid-Atlantic region. We take location into account when staffing projects to keep people local whenever possible, however when local work is not available the expectation is that personnel will need to travel to other sites every week. We also need people who can occasionally work nights and weekends (Primarily for occasional outages). Additionally, employees are required to undergo screening and government background checks to obtain access to certain project sites. Employment may be contingent upon an employee's ability to obtain clearance where required.

Journeyman Electrician Responsibilities

• Execute electrical and fire alarm plans in accordance with relevant codes and project specifications
• Identify and mitigate jobsite safety hazards
• Lead groups of team members of mixed skill levels to accomplish goals effectively
• Mentor crew members to foster employee growth
• Work well within a team or individually to thoroughly execute tasks
• Consistently produce a quality installation of electrical and fire alarm systems.

Skills

• Proven experience as an electrician
• Experience in commercial and/or industrial electrical systems
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures, legal regulations, and guidelines
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Diploma in relevant vocational training successfully completed an apprenticeship as an electrician or applicable accredited electrical training credits from classroom training
• Valid license to practice the profession
• Knowledgeable in the installation of raceways including EMT, PVC, GRC, 1/2"-4". Experience with PVC coated rigid is a plus
• Proficient in lighting and motor control circuitry installation and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in fire alarm installation and troubleshooting
