Expeditor - Procurement & Strategic Sourcing
At NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital, our Strategic Sourcing team is pivotal to the cost-effective care and caring of our patients. From the acquisition of medications at a fraction of their original price, to the management of inventory levels and purchasing operations, these professionals drive purchasing-based decisions that help minimize costs and maximize performance throughout our hospital. As an expeditor, you will work with Supply Chain and clinical end users to facilitate product transfers from our off-site warehouse to the appropriate campus, determining availability and interpreting items needed. You will be responsible for documenting the transactions in our Lawson system and maintaining a level of perpetual inventory. Attend cross team meetings regarding backorders and supply shortages, as well as ensuring replenishment of warehouse stock. Perform other related duties and department support, when required.
The shift for this position is 9am-5pm.
Preferred
- Associate degree
- Ability to review and extract data from/in Microsoft Excel
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum of 1 year of experience related to procurement activities
- Working knowledge of Lawson or similar integrated ERP procurement systems
