This position is responsible for support of the Business Information Systems (BIS) Department, including, but not limited to undergraduate programs, the Master of Science in Information Systems (MSIS) and SAP University Alliance Programs. This position works closely with the Department Chair and faculty regarding curricular development, promotion and recruiting, and student services, among other tasks.

Required Qualifications
High school diploma or GED.
Four years of qualifying experience or a combination of education and experience that equates to four years.
Experience with Microsoft Word.
Customer service experience.
Spreadsheet and/or database experience.
Organizational skills with strong attention to detail.
Demonstrated positive interpersonal skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to project a positive attitude.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines with accurate results.
Ability to compose, proofread and edit correspondence.
Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with enrollment management.
Experience with course scheduling for on-campus as well as online programs.
Experience interacting with international students.
Experience in supporting events.
Experience with support of faculty in the curriculum development process.

Duties & Responsibilities
Provides support to department chairperson.
Reconciles department budget accounts monthly along with credit card transactions.
Prepares purchase requisitions, invoice vouchers, equipment moving and maintenance requests, and orders supplies.
Maintains and distributes keys for department rooms and offices.
Prepares and provides record keeping for expense and reimbursement vouchers, coordinating with college professional development funds and department accounts.
Initiates personnel transactions.
Assists chair with class scheduling and with class changes, including transactions with the Registrar’s office.
Assists in reviewing student exception requests for classes.
Oversees room scheduling for BIS assigned class and meeting rooms.
Conducts special projects and assignments as directed by the department chairperson.
Assists chairperson and faculty with enrollment, student information, and advising appointments for majors/minors.
Prepares Student Opinion Surveys and coordinates the processing of completed faculty packets.
Assists with scholarship applications, awards, and correspondence.
Provides direct support for the BIS Department on daily tasks or special projects as needed, including, but not limited to the SAP Alliance program.
Attends training sessions to keep abreast of new (or changes to existing) procedures.
Participates in professional development as needed.
Responds to student inquiries.
Assists MSIS Director in evaluating application materials and making admission recommendations to Graduate Student Services.
Assists in preparing documents related to MSIS degree program, such as Authorization of Degree.
Prepares Class substitution forms and issues Plan B sign off forms for graduating students.
Writes OPT support letters for graduating international students.
Collects applications and performs preliminary evaluations for GA/TA, working with Chair and Faculty on final allocations.
Helps in delivery of new student assessment tests.
Supports MSIS Director with follow-up of students on academic probation.
Supports orientation sessions for new MSIS students.
Corresponds with MSIS program applicants and responds to MSIS program email.
Acts as a liaison between students and other departments on campus.
Coordinates with CGS on preparing recruitment plans.
Coordinates with the Dean’s office on the CBA Hooding Ceremony and the MSIS program’s role.
Performs other duties as needed.
