Position Responsibilities:


Management of Academic Services Department


• Support Assistant Superintendent of Academic Services in all things required

  • Support members of the Academic Services team
  • Maintain website content for Academic Services
  • Maintain the budget for Academic Services
  • Organize and maintain the calendar for the Assistant Superintendent of Academic Services
  • Address staff questions/concerns as needed
  • Other duties as assigned


Curriculum


• Purchase K-12 curriculum orders

  • Organize and support curriculum resource selection committees and pilots
  • Track staff timesheets for curriculum projects
  • Coordinate delivery of curriculum orders
  • Maintain and edit report card templates in PowerSchool for preschool-5
  • Update state assessment scores K-12 in PowerSchool
  • Maintain lists of At-Risk students and Read by Grade 3 students for reporting purposes


Gifted and Talented


  • Maintain a list of G&T students and their test scores
  • Order CogAt testing resources for identification of G&T students
  • Register G&T students for the MSU Gate program


Professional Development/SCHECHs


  • Maintain the District PD Plan within the MDE requirements
  • Register staff members for professional development
  • Organize and maintain the Annual Certification Statement for Claiming Qualifying PD

as instruction

  • Organize/manage all district-hosted professional development
  • Apply for SCHECHs as needed
  • Maintain all SCHECHs and DPPD information for staff
  • Maintain PLC folders and records
  • Support secretaries with PD opportunities


Mentoring


  • Maintain mentoring records of mentoring sign-in and SCHECHs
  • Collaborate with HR about mentoring records for certification


Assessment


  • Collaborate with Buildings and Technology for Assessment
  • Serve as District Assessment Coordinator
  • Manage students and staff in the Secure Site
  • Lead and direct secretary assessment training and DRC management
  • Maintain Read by Grade 3 scores from Dynamic Reports in April/May
  • Serve as District Administrative Manager for iReady and Acadience
  • Monitor students tested/not tested for accountability reporting in June


Summer School and Out of School Support


• Support Director of Summer Programming

  • Follow the rules of grant management
  • Purchase supplies
  • Maintain staff and student lists
  • Maintain student data


MICIP/MTSS


  • Keep MTSS agendas and goals up-to-date in the MICIP platform
  • Organize and store date for MICIP progress monitoring
  • Collaborate with the MTSS Coordinator to keep accurate records and plan data review events


State and Federal Grant Management and Legislative Requirements


• Collaborate with Assistant Superintendent of Academic Services for grant submission and maintenance

  • Maintain the budget for Consoidated App (Title I, II and IV)
  • Register staff for professional development in Title II
  • Complete 31a Report with accountant
  • Complete All State and Federal Reports Required for Board Meetings
  • Maintain communication, invoicing, and records for Private Non Publics in Equitable Services for Title Ia
  • Assist with Alternative Education Waiver and record keeping


  • Ability to Learn and Work with Multiple Digital Platforms and State/Federal Systems and with a Variety of District Departments is Essential


Qualifications
:


  • HS diploma
  • Strong technical/technology skills required (MicroSoft Office, Excel, etc.)
  • Customer service oriented - Ability to effectively respond to questions from employees and vendors
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, leadership & communication skills
  • Evidence of high standards of ethics, confidentiality, honesty, and integrity in personal and professional matters
  • Ability to work well with staff and community

Assistant Superintendent of Academic Services


Wage:
$24.82 to 28.45 per hour
