Position Overview

Invest in Our Future (IOF) is an innovative new philanthropic effort created to harness the power of historic new laws and vastly accelerate the country’s transition to a clean and equitable energy economy. IOF brings together the power of philanthropy and partner organizations to tackle the climate crisis in a way that bolsters America’s competitiveness in the 21st century. IOF will maintain a large and diverse portfolio of grantees, convene partners and stakeholders, provide technical assistance, and create a strategic hub that will pool and align major funding to ensure that the promise of the greatest investment in clean energy in U.S. history is realized.

The Executive Assistant will provide administrative and scheduling support to the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer of IOF. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting a senior-level executive, the ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, and high attention to detail.

The Executive Assistant’s daily administrative duties include but are not limited to overseeing the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer’s active calendars, completing expense reports, preparing correspondence, arranging detailed travel plans, organizing itineraries, creating PowerPoint and Excel documents, drafting correspondence, and preparing briefing materials for meetings and events.

Pay Range: $83,245 to $111,080. This represents the present low and high end of the Foundation’s pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Scope, Knowledge, and Expertise

Essential functions include but are not limited to:

  • Maintaining the calendar and appointments of the Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Working with staff to arrange conference calls and meetings and ensuring the Executive Director has necessary briefing materials.
  • Assisting with coordinating internal and external meetings and convenings.
  • Overseeing travel arrangements and preparing expense reports in a timely manner.
  • Staffing the Executive Director at public events and meetings.
  • Assisting in the development of agendas and meeting materials, with an interest in learning by doing and striving to operate independently through experience.
  • Maintaining continuous communication with the Executive Director and other team members to keep them informed of changes in a dynamic work environment.
  • Drafting correspondence and other written communications.
  • Providing thoughtful feedback to colleagues and acting on feedback received.
Requirements:

Education, Experience, and Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Demonstrated commitment to own professional development.

  • Communicates with a high degree of professionalism, accuracy, and speed with external partners, internal team members, and others when performing administrative duties.
  • Generally expected to have 2-3 years of professional experience.
  • Possesses wide-ranging professional experience supporting senior executive leaders.
  • Demonstrated track record of working successfully in a fast-paced environment with the ability to anticipate the needs of management and to act proactively.
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of discretion, confidentiality, and sound judgment.

Invest in Our Future is a fiscally-sponsored project under RF Catalytic Capital, Inc. (“RFCC”). RFCC is a new 501(c)(3) public charity, launched by the Rockefeller Foundation in 2020, whose work is to develop, support, and/or apply innovative solutions to address the world's most intractable social and environmental problems impacting vulnerable people and communities. This position will begin at RFCC and may be transferred or assigned to Invest in Our Future. Such transfer or assignment, if at all, would in all aspects be subject to RFCC’s sole discretion.
