Job description

St Agatha Catholic School in Miami, FL has an opening for a qualified Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher for the present school year (2021-2022). This candidate must be an ESE teacher who is passionate about teaching exceptional students and proficient in strategies that facilitate learning for students with learning disabilities. The teacher will plan, organize, and implement an appropriate instructional program for students in an ESE, self-contained classroom for students with learning disabilities. The teacher will perform all duties and responsibilities in alignment with the mission, vision, and values of the Catholic Archdiocese of Miami.

Qualifications:

• BS / BA Degree in Exceptional Student Education (ESE)
• Florida Department of Education ESE teaching certificate, professional or temporary required
• Must have knowledge of basic tenets of Roman Catholic Church
• Must be supportive and respectful of the mission and tenets of the Roman Catholic Church
• Proficient in strategies to teach students with learning disabilities
• Ability to teach a multi-grade level classroom
• Excellent classroom management
• Excellent presentation skills including use of instructional technologies
• Excellent oral and written English language
• Professional demeanor
• Ability to work collaboratively with administration, colleagues and staff
• Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Pay: $23,593.00 - $65,000.00 per year
