Private Events Sales Manager

JOB SUMMARY

What: Edison House is looking for an experienced Private Events Sales Manager to plan food and beverage menus, schedule shifts, and coordinate food preparation and serving during events. To be successful in this role, you should have work experience in catering or hospitality, solid organizational abilities, and be able to optimize the use of space and equipment while reducing operating costs. Leadership abilities and phenomenal efficiency can set you apart among our candidate pool.

The goal is to assist with all events and ensure their successful execution. Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Private Events Sales Manager has the following responsibilities:

  • Create member event banquet event orders (BEOs) and floorplans
  • Print and distribute BEOs (private and member events) to executive level binders
  • Create and distribute event collateral in collaboration with Marketing & Community
  • Serve as occasional on-site Member Event Management
  • Liaise between Banquet Captain and Events team
  • Manage inbound member event ideas
  • Coordinate all service aspects of solicited and assigned catering, banquet, and meeting services.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Total compensation is base pay plus 2-3% sales commission.

Additional Requirements

  • Proven 1-3 years’ experience in events, catering, or other relevant positions
  • Above average verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Good analytical/critical thinking
  • BS/BA in relevant field will be an advantage
  • Ability to communicate effectively with staff and fellow management team, as well as ownership.
  • Positive attitude and excellent communication skills.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
