Job description

Estimators are responsible for estimating the costs of a planned construction project in terms of the labor, equipment and materials required. Projects can be new builds or ongoing maintenance or refurbishment work.

Responsibilities include:

• Analyzing plans, pictures, material quantities and other project documentation in order to estimate costs
• researching, sourcing, negotiating and obtaining the best prices and quotes from suppliers and subcontractors
• analyzing data that can affect costs such as material rates and the company’s productivity rate
• assessing the financial, technical and operational risks of the project
• visiting project sites to gather information
• staying aware of the latest construction technologies
• keeping up to date with the latest regulatory and legislative requirements
• working closely with key members of the project team and clients
• keeping detailed records and writing reports.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $52,000.00 per year

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Terre Haute, IN 47803: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)

Education:

• High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

• Construction estimating: 1 year (Preferred)
• Construction: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

• Driver's License (Preferred)
