H2 LLC is a Specialty Building Products company working with both Commercial and Residential. The Estimator position will be based out of our Lancaster, PA headquarters.

H2 LLC. has two additional branches located in Bensalem, PA & Jackson, NJ. You will have an an immediate impact on growing out our commercial division in the Mid-Atlantic Region. This position also offers the ability to earn commission on awarded bids after project completion.

Scope:

This position has the responsibility for estimating efforts in the commercial division of H2. Preparing estimates and bid proposals for established leads and new leads acquired by the sales and commercial teams.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Work closely with commercial team to successfully estimate jobs assigned.

2. Provide complete detailed project information for efficient scheduling and installation practices.

3. Perform take-offs, designs, and estimates for jobs assigned by project leads, new clients and manager.

4. Develop and maintain productive working relationships with General Contractors and vendors.

5. Work closely with Project Management Teams to determine logistic issues that need to be considered and included in estimates.

6. Work with Project Management Team to determine changes required in the bid parameters for installed products.

7. Upon acceptance of quote and awarded contract, review the quote and assumptions with assigned Project Manager. Handoff all files and documentation to assigned Project Manager for job processing.

8. Maintain open communications and strong relationships with key customer contacts (superintendents, foremen, job managers, etc), and all H2 personnel.

9. Maintain relationships with key vendors and material suppliers for commercial projects to obtain up-to-date information and current pricing for all specialized products used in commercial work.

10. Assist Project Managers as needed with pricing requests of change orders or revisions for awarded contracts.

11. Responsible to maintain the H2 high standards relative to quality and customer service.

Qualifications:

Skills and Qualifications: Proficient in Microsoft Office programs. Read, write, and understand English. Strong organizational and communication skills, both written and verbal. Customer focused. Detail oriented and ability to multitask and make decisions. Establish and maintain effective work relationships through teamwork, cooperation, dependability, respect and having a positive attitude. Ability to set own schedule using efficient time management. Ability to read construction documents and specification manuals.

Work Environment: Employees will perform majority of work inside H2, in an office setting; and will occasionally work in warehouse and production areas. May be required to work outside during all seasons for duties of the position. Will be exposed to dust, dirt, noise, and seasonal changes in temperature.

Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. This position requires the employee to be in a seated position most of the day. Must be able to bend, turn, twist, climb, squat, reach, and stand throughout entire shift. Must be able to lift and carry minimum of 30 pounds. Regular and predictable on-site attendance is required. Valid driver’s license required.

Education and Work Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred. Two to four years estimating experience and proficiency with CAD or similar program is desired. Previous construction experience/knowledge preferred.

Pay: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
