For over 60 years, Seifert Concrete has been providing concrete construction services to general contractors and owners in Pennsylvania and Maryland. Our in-house capabilities have grown over the years with the ability to handle all aspects of a project from foundations, flatwork, exterior concrete to excavation and grading.

SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking an experienced and driven Equipment Operator to become a part of our growing concrete business in Dillsburg, PA. Work is primarily in Central PA and surrounding areas.

Successful candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of operating experience and a strong work ethic and ability to learn.

TYPICAL RESPONSIBILITIES / ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• Ability to safely operate and maintain various types of equipment (i.e. Excavators, Mini Excavator, Back Hoes, Skid Loaders, Graders, etc.)
• Must be able to follow construction diagrams
• Must be able to perform pre-operations safety inspections
• Ability to take direction from site foreman to complete daily tasks and meet project goals for job site
  
• Travels from job site to job site when/as needed
• Works closely with other crew members; in a fast-paced environment
  
• Ensures company equipment is maintained and in good running condition by greasing and checking fluids
• Performs other labor duties as assigned by foreman or project manager
• Must be reliable and have the ability to work overtime as required
• Follows all company rules, regulations, policies and guidelines

REQUIREMENTS

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation
• Must be able to lift, carry and move up to 50 lbs.
• Must be reliable and have the ability to work overtime as required
• Must pass DOT pre-employment physical and drug/alcohol screening
• Must be able to work in outdoor environments, including prolonged walking or standing on various terrain in a wide range of weather conditions
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and meet necessary deadlines
• Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules
• Experience with hand tools associated with the trade
  
• Operating experience; concrete experience is a plus
