The Directional Drilling Choice

With over 30 years of industry experience, MS Directional holds an established presence in most major producing onshore oil and gas basins and is a leader in onshore directional drilling in the United States.

The Equipment Manager will plan, coordinate, and manage all inventory and assets across all MS Directional locations. This person will provide strategic oversight and execute on a wide variety of projects; they will manage the inventory teams in all MSD locations.

This role performs under general direction of the Director Finance.

Detailed Description:

  • Ensure that safety procedures are followed in accordance with applicable company policies and regulations e.g. OSHA, PPE, etc.
  • Manage and direct inventory and asset teams across all MS Directional locations
  • Responsible for all warehouse functions – put away, pulling, staging
  • Manage & Complete asset and inventory counts in accordance with company controls and procedures
  • Ensure Oracle is updated and current with inventory counts, and audit information
  • Work closely with different teams and be able to support Operations and Shops with the necessary inventory and asset information
  • Assist Finance team with monthly processes, such as new asset serialization, retirements etc.
  • Continuously monitor inventory and asset balances in the system
  • Create and analyze monthly utilization reports
  • Work with Asset Accounting to ensure that Oracle/ Warehouse Management System reflects the most recent information (serial numbers, manufacturer, model numbers)
  • Make employment decisions in a manner consistent with all Company policies, including the Company’s Equal Employment Opportunity and Anti-Harassment Policy
  • Promptly address and resolve concerns and disputes among team members, with the goal of building a stronger, more cohesive work group
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Travel may be required for (but not limited to) audits, meetings, training, seminars, etc., which may be overnight, day(s), week, etc. – approx. 30% of the time.
  • Supervisory duties include, but is not limited to, activities such as interviewing, selecting, and training of employees; overseeing, planning, and directing the work of employees; appraising employees’ productivity and efficiency; and disciplining employees.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience with assets, shop and/or field role in the Oil & Gas industry
  • Experience in directly supervising and managing other personnel
  • Must have valid state-issued driver’s license and be eligible to drive Company vehicle including ability to meet requirements of Company’s Vehicle Use Agreement and Driving Policy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3+ years experience with Inventory and Asset Management
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Experience using Oracle software

Work Environment:

Work is primarily in a climate controlled / office environment with minimal safety / health hazard potential. The employee is regularly required to sit, stand, or walk with occasional lifting (overhead, waist level) from floor, bending and frequent near vision use for reading and use of computer, telephone and other office equipment.
