Environmental Project Manager

PSI, an Intertek Company, is looking for an Environmental Project Manager to join our team in Charlotte, NC. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the environmental, engineering, and construction industry!

The Building & Construction team provides assurance, testing, inspection, and certification services and building science solutions to deliver Total Quality Assurance to the built environment. The team offers the architectural, engineering and construction (A/E/C) industry with a full suite of capabilities both in the lab and on site.

The Environmental Project Manager will support the Building and Construction business by managing Environmental Projects in the Carolinas.

What you'll do:

  • Client Maintenance and Development
  • Project Site Walks / Scope Development / Proposal Preparation
  • Project Estimating / Vendor Management
  • Project Scheduling / Cost Tracking / Report Coordination and Review
  • Participates in all QA/QC programs as appropriate
  • Performs other non-typical assignments upon availability as assigned by management

What it takes to be successful in this role:

  • BS/MS Degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Biology, Chemistry or some Physical Science required
  • 5 or more years' previous experience in Environmental Due Diligence, Soil/Groundwater/Vapor Testing, and/or Industrial Hygiene related services
  • Project Supervision with ability to manage budgets, field staff, and clients
  • Knowledge of environmental concepts, principles, practices, and regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable driving record (required)
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
