ENTRY-LEVEL Training & Recruitment Assistant
POAH Communities, an exciting and highly entrepreneurial organization committed to quality management of affordable rental housing, is seeking a highly qualified individual to serve as the Training & Recruitment Assistant. The individual will work from the POAH Communities Washington, D.C. office located near Union Station. The Training & Recruitment assistant will support key initiatives delivered by the Vice President of Training & Recruitment and Senior Training & Recruitment Associates.
No prior experience needed, on the job training is provided. This is a hybrid position that will only require reporting to the office Tuesdays and Wednesdays.
Qualifications/Requirements
The successful candidate should be:
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, Human Resources/Talent Acquisition majors highly recommended
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and Excel)
  • Interested in talent development and acquisition.
  • Knowledgeable about applicant tracking systems (a plus).
  • Curious, thoughtful and a proactive problem solver.
Responsibilities
  • Become extremely knowledgeable in Applicant Tracking System (Paycor).
  • Manage VisionX Learning Management System profiles and communications for new employees
  • Assist Senior T&R Associates to create library of recruitment tools and materials for innovative strategies
  • Maintain employee personnel files via shared document folders
  • Assist and help prepare the team for in-person/virtual recruitment events
  • Perform recruitment duties such as scheduling in-person and Zoom interviews, updating all calendars accordingly, coordinating with hiring teams and candidates, answering phone calls, and monitoring emails.
  • Resolve issues such as interview cancellations, rescheduling or scheduling conflicts swiftly.
  • Work closely with POAH/POAH Communities’ departments to maintain employee databases and handle any relevant tasks.
  • Monitor POAH Service Desk alerts for new employee systems access
  • Screen candidates by verifying qualifications and experience.
