Your Impact:


The Electrical Engineer will play an active role in the development of plans, specifications and estimates for intelligent transportation systems, highway lighting, traffic signal design, and electrical systems supporting transportation assets (tunnels, movable bridges, pump stations, toll gates, reversible lanes, etc.), construction inspection, field data collection, and report writing.

Based in Virginia Beach, you will have the chance to work on exciting and engaging large-scale infrastructure projects and utilize your electrical design expertise learned at school and working on related projects. Position qualifies for the “Future of Work” work environment where you will spend time working both in the office and time working from home. You’ll work with a group of Engineers, technical experts, and Project Managers in the business. We want you to be empowered to deliver the boldest solutions for everyday living.

Here’s What You’ll Need:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.
  • Course work related to electrical engineering, electrical systems, and low voltage communication systems.
  • Engineer in Training (EIT/FE) preferred
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills
  • Minimum of 1 years related experience required
  • Knowledge of and solid experience using CADD/Design software preferred

Ideally, you’ll also have:

  • Knowledge of National Electrical Code
  • Experience with AGI32 lighting design software
  • Knowledge of traffic signals and signal systems
  • Strong oral and written communications skills
  • Strong time management and attention to detail
  • Experience with medium and low voltage systems.
