We offer great flexibility in solving aluminum profile needs, with our secondary operations such as fabrication, high tolerance cutting and finishing, combined with our knowledge and years of experience. We are known for being able to run some of the industry’s most difficult profiles. Our 3” indirect extrusion presses allow us to achieve tighter tolerances, with higher consistency then traditional direct extrusion presses. This, along with the ability to run more complex profiles without issues, from .020” wall thickness to highly complex semi-hollow profiles.

Summary: The position of the CNC Machinist consists of successful operation and maintenance of both Hass DM2 and VF 4SS CNC’s. Manage inspection processes to ensure quality is consistently achieved. Maintaining high quality fabrication standards and drive workflow processes and improvements.

Tasks

· Maintain work area and equipment in clean orderly condition.

· Follow safety requirements and maintain certifications

· Set up or program the CNC’s

· Inspect machinery and products for quality assurance.

· Review raw material for dimensions, quantity, and defects.

· Complete change over activities

· Perform daily maintenance of machinery

· Troubleshoot equipment and find resources to address issues promptly

· Inspect in process material against the production order and part prints

· Thoroughly inspect part lengths and all critical dimensions

· Learn and understand customer specific requirements

· Alert supervisor when parts are out of tolerance

· Complete any required inspection documentation

· Input daily CNC production into ERP software

Requirements

· High School Diploma

· Strong math skills

· 2-3years experience as CNC mill/Lathe

· Ability to analyze information provided on blueprints

· Strong computer skills

· Strong problem-solving skills

· Understand how to read Aluminum Association Table 11.2

· Experience using tape measure, calipers, and micrometers

· Basic understanding of saws and hydraulic press operations

· Forklift Certified

Physical Requirements

· Ability to stand for 10 hours

· Lifting or carrying 50 pounds

· Pushing, Twisting, or Pulling

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
